Joe's Testimony

Joe's family has attended Graham Road Baptist Church his entire life. At the age of 5, Joe's Sunday School teacher led him to the Lord in a room that is still used for children's ministry today, and he was baptised at the age of 7.

From a young age, Joe has found a place of service alongside his family and church family at GRBC. God has utilized Joe's willingness to be used to create a diverse background of ministry service including nearly ten years as a deacon, several years of teaching Sunday School, and decades in children's ministry. Joe implimented and led the security ministry at GRBC, and has used that ministry to support nearby churches and ministries requiring additional support for larger events. Joe, along with other men in the church, has for the last few years been training under the leadership of Pastor Michael Lovett, which has led to opportunites ministering and preaching not only at GRBC, but also other churches and ministries. Joe's involvment with missions began when his pastor placed him in the role of Missions Director for GRBC, where Pastor Lovett directly trained him in the aspects of communicating with and supporting the missions partners of GRBC.

In July of 2022, after more than a year of wrestling with God, Joe finally surrendered to a life of full time ministry and is currently working toward that goal.

Angela's Testimony

Angela began attending Graham Road Baptist Church regularly after she and Joe were married. At that time, she beleived she had a testimony of salvation, but it eventually became evident that was not the case. In 2014, after persistent struggles with issues at work and at home both mentally and physically, she began counseling with Pastor Lovett and his wife, who were very patient in listening and steering her in the right direction. Finally, she recognized that Jesus Christ was missing from her life, and, putting her trust fully in Him, she accepted Christ as her Savior on February 17th, 2015, and was baptized the following Sunday.

Since that time, she began to study her Bible regularly. God has used the time in His Word to grow Angela in ways she never imagined; her relationship with her husband was strengthened, she began working more with children, and she began to better understand her role as the wife of a deacon.
